Workpackages
The project duration is 24 months and consists of 5 work packages:
Work Package 1: Project Management for coordination and monitoring of timeline, deliverables and reports (M1-M24)
Work Package 2: Environmental scan and situational analysis in the obstetric or emergency care settings of the 6 partners who will take part in the capacity building, as well as at the national policy level (M2-M6). COMPLETED
Work Package 3: Health care capacity building seminars to empower 12 national violence prevention advocates and clinical champions to train 48 obstetric/emergency department staff (8 staff persons per team in 6 countries) (M5-M18)
Work Package 4: Health sector policy level sensitisation and advocacy with stakeholders in the 6 EU countries to raise awareness of the responsibility of the health services to provide care for victims of violence in the partner countries and promote known best practices (M15-M20)
Work Package 5: Revision, peer review and dissemination of the capacity building seminar for adaption, uptake, and transferability, especially in countries where training concepts and material are unavailable (M20-M24 and beyond)
This project maps existing specialist support services in the health care settings of 6 EU countries; builds on existing work in this area in the Member States (UNFPA-WAVE, Health Sector Response); develops and exchanges best practices in providing these specialised services in the health care setting); and promotes the cooperation and networking across the EU of NGOs and the health sector responsible for providing this support.
